Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: We can accept cash, checks, money orders, or credit/debit cards (VISA or Master Card only) for regular charges. No checks accepted on warrants.  

Q: May I make payments over the internet?

A: You may pay in full online. Please make sure to contact the court office to get the specific information you will need to pay your fine. A payment made over the internet is consider a “no contest” plea. A nominal fee will be charged for this form or payment.

Q: May I make payments over the telephone?

A: You may not make payments over the telephone. You can use your credit/debit card at our court office or you may pay in full online.

Q: May I mail in my payment?

A: You may mail in a check or money order made out to “Webster Municipal Court”. A payment received in the mail is considered a “no contest” plea. No checks accepted on warrants.

Q: How can I find out how much I owe and the due date?

Q: Can I call the Webster Municipal Court and find out how many warrants I have outstanding against me in the State of Texas?

A: With our court software, we can only see warrants issued for the City of Webster. You may be able to check your warrants online.

Q: If I pay my citation before the court date, do I still need to come to court?

A: If you make a payment before your court date you will not be required to appear in court. However, it is your responsibility to make sure that your charge has been taken care of before your court date.

Q: Do I have to have a lawyer to come to court?

A: You can represent yourself or you can hire a lawyer. The Webster Municipal Court will not appoint a lawyer to represent you.

Q: How can I extend my court date?

A: We cannot reschedule arraignment dates. If you wish to plead guilty or no contest, you can handle most charges in the court office before the court date. If you wish to plead not guilty, your case will be set for pre-trial or trial.

Q: How can I find a Driver’s Safety Course?

A: You are not eligible to take a driver’s safety course until you have received written instructions and due dates from the court. Once you have your paperwork from the court, you can go online to find State-approved online and traditional classes.

Q: How can I order my driving record?

A: You are not eligible to order your driving record until you have received written instructions and due dates from the court. Once you have your paperwork from the court, you can order your 3A driving record online. Please keep in mind that you will need to print your driving record when ordering online.

Q: How can I find an Alcohol Awareness class?

A: You are not eligible to take an Alcohol Awareness course until you have been ordered by the court. Once you have your paperwork from the court, you can download a roster of available "Alcohol Education Programs for Minors" from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
