About Us


The Webster Fire Department serves the citizens and visitors within the City of Webster, Texas. We are located on the south side of Houston, Texas with a population of approximately 12,000 permanent residents. While this number seems small, our community is one that has a daily influx of people who work and shop in our city, which brings our daily population up to 150,000. Approximately 400,000 vehicles traverse our community on a daily basis. The Webster Fire Department also provides mutual and auto-aid to neighboring departments which covers a combined population of approximately 1.8 million people.

The Webster Fire Department is a paid department with 22 staff members that provide front line emergency response to fires, EMS, Hazmat, and other types of disasters. We respond to over 2500 calls per year with high quality care. Our department constantly strives to be the best that we can be.

Webster is 6 square miles and is largely an industrial and commercial area. Within our response area is Lockheed Martin, ExxonMobil, several Hospitals, entertainment destinations, restaurants and many large retail stores. This creates a unique community that has a very small resident population compared to our business district.

Webster Fire Department is staffed 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
