Webster Criminal Investigation Mission Statement
The mission of the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is to provide support to the Webster Police Department by conducting timely and thorough criminal investigations. The division is dedicated to providing superior investigative services to the Webster Police Department in order to preserve the quality of life of the general public. The division's main function is to investigate all criminal allegations referred to them from misdemeanor to felony. The division will search out and collect all available evidence surrounding each case, along with supporting facts to clear the innocent and substantiate the culpability of the guilty.
In our pursuit of solving crime, detectives work in collaboration with the public in sharing information that leads to the investigation of criminal activity; along with local, state, and federal agencies, thereby enhancing our professional partnerships. The division is also active in partnerships with business members to assist in the identification of criminal or potential criminal activity. We maintain the highest levels of integrity and professionalism in all of our actions, and we will treat all those whom we serve in a compassionate, sensitive, courteous and professional manner, regardless of sex, race, lifestyle or reason for police contact.
